The history of Kauda Dance in magar community


Kauda Nach is very famous & old dance in Magar Community. This dance is popular in Gorkha, Palpa, Tahahun and Syangja. Maghe Sankranti is the festival of Magar People.
The Kuada dance is perform in Maghe Sankranti. This dance is very famous and old dance in magar community, now it is in risk of disappear.

 According to the history of Kauda Nach, this dance is developing from magar community. Some of the famous Magar dances are; Nachari, Kauda, Ghatu, Sorathi, Jhyaure, Rodi and so on. The real meaning of Kauda is “Kan Raha”. 

In Magar Lanauge Kan Raha means hami aayo and kauda dancing plance known as “Khal”
