A German boy finds a mummy in his grandmother’s attic!

Alexander kettler found a coffin last week when he stumbled while playing in his grandmother’s attic located at Diepholz, Germany.
According to the resident gossips, the 10 year found a mummy in his grandmother’s top storey. The mummy was along with the old boxes covered with dust and litters. The family members didn’t have any idea that the interesting stuffs were all this time in their house.

Kettler’s dad, Lutz Wolfgang told Spiegel online that there was a large coffin and inside of it was a mummy. He also said that once they saw the mummy, they opened other boxes and even found Egyptian death mask and a canopic vessel. He suspects that maybe these things belonged to his belated father, who usually toured over the North Africa in the 1950’s. Kettler also has faith that even though the death mask and the vessel looks like duplications, the mummy inside the coffin may be a real one.
Analysis will be required in order to make sure that the covered thing inside the coffin is definitely a mummy. Kettler even said that he has made plans to transfer the mummy to berlin for inspection.

If the mummy is verified to be a true Egyptian antique, specialists in Egypt will pursue to bring back the historical object in their country.

Abdel maqsoud, the representative of the relic’s area at Egypt’s bureau of antiques told to the Egypt sovereign that negotiation is the best way to solve all the matters and it doesn’t even cost a penny. He also said they will properly check if the antique was ported lawfully or not and even find out if it has been listed at any exhibition hall or not.
